Tigmanshu Dhulia, an Indian film dialogue writer, director, actor, screenwriter, producer and casting director, known for his works in Hindi cinema and Television, has been a part of Sanchaari from its conceptualization.
Sanchaari started when Tigmanshu Dhulia and Samina Naqvi had this desire to do something in the city of Allahabad, which was exclusively for the city. He supported the idea to celebrate the social fabric of the city, the Ganga-jamuni tehzeeb, forgotten by the metropolitan environment.
Mahesh Bhatt came to Allahabad when the dramatisation of his film Saraansh was staged in Allahabad.
He was impressed by the Ganga Jamuni tehzeeb of Allahabad, and believed in the work we were doing at Sanchaari.
Our intention of reviving the glory of the past and retaining the social fabric of the city, impressed him and brought him in touch with Sanchaari.
Quoting Mahesh Bhatt, "Sangam in Allahabad is much more just a confluence of rivers, it's a confluence of art, cultures, communities."
